Sales Tax Update

Until recently, we have only been required to collect sales tax for purchases within the state of Texas, where Igniter Media resides. Due to changes in regulations, we are now required to collect sales tax from customers in several additional states. For customers in these taxable states, we will need to receive a valid sales tax exemption certificate before your account can be marked as tax exempt.

I'm Getting Charged Tax and We're Tax Exempt, What Do I Do?

No problem. If you see you are being charged tax but you are already tax exempt, proceed to checkout and complete your purchase. Once your purchase has been made, follow the instructions below on how to upload your sales tax exemption certificate. Once your certificate has been approved, the tax on your purchase will be refunded back to the card used to complete the purchase. We are unable to mark your account as tax exempt in real time as there are many requests for tax exemption. If you need to have your account marked as tax exempt before making a purchase, follow the steps below and proceed with your purchase once your submitted form is marked as "Approved" in the Billing section of your account. 

How To Submit Your Sales Tax Exemption Certificate

When logged-in to your Igniter Media account, go to the Billing section of your account. Scroll to the bottom of that page where it says Sales Tax Exemption Certificates and click the blue Add New button.

Once your certificate has been uploaded, it will be reviewed by our team. Please be sure to complete any empty fields on your form, including signing and dating the form when applicable. The Seller/Vendor field (if applicable) must be filled out with our name and address in order to be valid. Here is our address:

I Submitted My Form, Now What?

Once you have submitted your form, our team will review it within 3 business days. If there is a problem with the form, our team will reach out via email to the email address on your account and the form will be marked as "Rejected" in the Billing section of your account. If your form is approved, no further action needs to be taken, and your future purchases will be marked as tax exempt until the certificate on file expires.
